SOLD

Alright my peeps, I've got a Look 585 frameset that needs to find a new home. It's a great riding bike, but I dig the geo and ride of my C50 and C40 just a tad bit more and can't justify a third carbon bike in the garage.

As you probably know, the 585 is one of the most respected production carbon bikes in the world and is considered a benchmark by many. The bikes are incredibly responsive with impeccable handling and an amazingly smooth and comfortable ride. They're also surprisingly light with 14 lb builds easily achievable (this one was 15.25 lbs with SRAM Red, aluminum bars/stem, and 1600 gram wheels).

As you can imagine, the 585s receive incredible reviews. Just check out Roadbikereview (5 out of 5 stars with 44 reviews!!!) or the feedback on our own forum here.

This particular bike is the standard 2008 585 in a size Large (56 cm). The size specs are as follows:

TT - 56
ST - 53.1 (center to top)
HT - 15.6
CS - 40.5
STA -- 73.75
HTA -- 73

The bike has several thousand miles on it and has been great with no issues. It does have a few light marks on it from use but has never been crashed or involved in any incident that would compromise it's structural integrity.

The price is $725 shipped and paypal'd in the CONUS and includes the frame, fork, headset, carbon Look Ergo 2 seatpost, front derailleur clamp, and matching Fizik saddle (decent but not perfect condition). The pictures show the PRO PLT stem, but it isn't included.

Here are a few pics:

I have other pics that show the specific cosmetic blemishes. I'd be happy to share if you have an interest in the frameset.

Thanks!

Killer bike and a killer deal. That's a great paint scheme, and the matching seatpost and saddle are the icing on the cake.

Look at that!!

Good luck with the sale Tex, though seeing a PM is already enroute to you I doubt you'll be needing too much of it :)

Thanks Happy! The Ergo post allows a nice range of adjustment on the setback.

Unfortunately the fit isn't going to work for Ari so it is still available.

Thanks!

Tex- This is getting so hard to resist by the minute. Wavering on fit, as Look L TT and HT might be tad small for me. Must hold temptation back at least temporarily. If it's here in a day, I just will have to jump!

How I wish this were an XL...it would be looong gone by now.

Someone needs to snap this up!

if it wasn't blue, i'd be all over it. i've already got two blue bikes awaiting a repaint.

A bit of interest, but no solid bites yet.

It may be here for you.

Great price on an all time classic. I've seen these built up around 14 lbs without anything exotic. Would be an infinitely cooler race bike than any of the CAAD8 stuff in this price range.

Wonderful seller, as well.

Thanks Scott!

I've had a number of great trade offers and one cash offer but the bike is still available.

To answer one of the more common questions that I've had, the saddle height in the pic is 74 cm.

Thanks!

A couple people have asked for a picture of the bike when it was built. Sorry for the bad iPhone pic, but here you go:
