Does anyone know what type of brakes will be compatible with the new Rivendell Bleriot? Long-reach calipers, centerpulls, or cantis? Thanks.

Haven't seen any details. You might want to ask on the RBW list: http://www.bikelist.org/mailman/listinfo/rbw

I'm betting cantis or center-pull just like the Saluki.

Here's what Grant Petersen said on the RBW list about that.

The 'riot requires a bolt-on brake with a 65mm reach. The options are (as I
know them, I'm not saying this is complete)

1. Dia-Compe Mod. 750 centerpull...still being made.
2. Paul's new centerpull...now available
3. Super cheap longreach sidepulls that are still being made and put on
really lousy bikes that don't even make it to this country.
4. ALHONGA (brand), a Taiwan brake maker, lists both a long-enuf reach reach
Dual Pivot sidepull, and a suitable centerpull. We're getting samples. At
dawn, as the vicious pygmies leaped down off their perches and attacked
sleeping enemy tribesmen, they shouted, "Alhonga!" (says a friend of mine,
who pointed out the Alhonga brakes to me)
5. We spoke to Tektro about a 55-72 DP sidepull that would include a few
details that would really dial it in for larger tires---a q/r that opened
the pads enough to clear a fatter tire, and an arch shape that clears
fenders better than the current arch shapes in DPS (dual pivot sidepull)
brakes. I've had similar conversations at least 15 times before, with
various makers about various parts, but this time, out of the blue, it
actually went somewhere. The entry requirements are almost do-able, and
Tektro and us are going to work out some details in the next month or so.
6. Another brake which somebody else is working on, but I can't speak of
yet. It has lots of promise.
