I have a good old 1985 Specialized Rockhopper that came originally with a rigid steel one inch threaded steel fork. Once upon a time I switched out the original fork with a suspension fork. Unfortunately the original fork got dumped.

Now I want to modify the Rockhopper into a cruiser with smooth tires and go back to a rigid steel threaded fork. I remember when the suspension fork was installed, it must have had longer legs or a different rake cause the bike steered kinda weird afterwards.

Does anyone here know what the rake was on mt bikes of this era?
Does anyone have an old rigid mt fork hanging around?

I might have one, a ritchey fork from 1988 (tange #6). What is the length of your headtube, plus stack height of headset?
