Phew- back from NAHBS!

It was a fun show, and a great chance to meet up with friends and colleagues.

To my pleasant surprise I was awarded "Best Finish" for my city bike. Big thanks to the folks at NAHBS, Keith Anderson, my chrome guys and all my vendors. HUGE thanks to all of my clients for their support and willingness to let me go for it.

I brought 4 bikes this year- a city and track bike from my Custom Series, and two examples from my new Tool Series. As the name implies, the Custom Series are ground up bikes with all of the details and options I've been working on. Each is made to the needs and tastes of the individuals requirements.

One of those was the bike above. The photo below will take you to my construction gallery and some great shots taken by David Rangel:

I also introduced my new Tool Series (http://www.winterbicycles.com/tool-series/). These are set model bikes in custom sizes. Designed to offer a more succinct package with the benefits of a made to measure frame- the first is a road bike designed around 25-28's.

The Tool bike was delivered at the show, and I had a very enthusiastic phone call from the excited owner post-ride. I'm really looking forward to getting these out there. I'll work on some studio shots of the other stuff and post them to my site.

Big thanks to all of the folks that stopped by the booth, including all the internet folks.

Rather then just post up my impressions, I thought I'd link to some NAHBS coverage. It's a great way for me to see what other folks find interesting.

Culture Cycles takes a look at the track bike I brought to NAHBS (http://www.culturecycles.com/2013/03/nahbs-2013-winter-bicycles-track-bike/?fb_action_ids=10200151249356685&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%2210200151249356685%22%3A422 202361203238%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210200151249356685%22%3A%22og .likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D). A bit ago I discussed wanting to build bikes with my take on "Japanese" style lugs- clean points with intentional and gestural "simple" lug shapes. I built this one to show that, and the bike was a bit of a sleeper at the shop.

I'm really excited about that track build. The hubs are by Curtis Odom, and the rims are a custom combo Velocity ran for the bike.

CycleExif's Parker came by the booth and put together some fun coverage in his NAHBS Day 2 (http://www.cycleexif.com/2013nahbs-day-2) report (the images below are his).

Great work! I love the custom stem in the last photo.

I'm so glad you are my builder for my next bike.

Congratulations on the win!

Eric, nice to meet you in person, you deserve the award--you're bikes are underrated and stems are second to none!

Wow, all gorgeous bikes, but that stem is incredible. Nice work!

Almost makes me wish I were still racing track. Alllllllllmost!
