I am curious if you might share a photo of your bike or point to one on the net you think is sharp. Thinking about a paint scheme or not paint scheme for a future project.

I found a cyclist who owns a custom motorcycle shop,

we painted back to its original specs, the ti was polished before painting

if I told you the price you would die, compared to the top painters, but for painting and tip it was under $500

Cant offer any painted ti pictures but if you are just looking to get an idea of what it would look like in various schemes and colors i suggest searching for stainless steel bikes as they are more common painted and especially part painted.

The IF SSRs should offer you alot of examples for instance.

Don't forget the painted Ti Spectrum posted by gothard(?). It was white with orange accents...that was very popular amongst folks

My Bedford is of the white/bare Ti scheme also--with exposed bare Ti decals. It's pictured below in my sig.

MTB, but a cool paint scheme.

This Lightspeed scheme is nice.

The best photo of the top one posted by one60 is here:

This Baum is very nice:

Although I always liked this one for its simplicity before Baum went to its Mondrian-inspired paint schemes:

This is a classic Serotta paint scheme (this is a '96 frame), with the paint at an angle:

And a Spectrum with a similar paint scheme:

Tom Kellogg paints a lot of his frames with exposed ti, with lots of nice variations. If you do a search for Spectrum in custom gallery, you will see lots of examples (most photos are file attachments, so one can't embed them in the text).

How do you guys find the paint sticks on Ti? I've got an old Bianchi Megatube Ti that was fairly beat up before I got it that I've always wondered about repainting.

The paint adheres great to Ti, with proper preparation.

So who is AC? Love that Vamoots CR. I would have left off that designation from the TT, but very nice color choices. Now when can we see a pic of the entire frame and fork?

Just curious.IF shot-peens their ti frames.

it was cheaper to mask the rear of the frame than just making bands/sections. originally i wanted the head tube bare and the paint in 14" wide bands sections around the tubes, too much masking involved.

These are pics of a Kelly Beddford bike with bare rear stays. Kelly allowed color of choice as an upgrade. I picked Porsche lapis blue metallic.

what happycampyer said .... the shot-peening makes for a very interesting texture on the finish, so much that i sometimes wish i hadn't painted it :p
