To me, this race deserves classic status simply because it's so different than any other race on the Pro Tour. Please post any good links for live feed. And please don't suggest steephill. I'm too lazy to sort through that site to determine what link is good or bad.

I know you don't want to hear about Steephill.tv, but it really is one of the best places to go for free live coverage of cycling events. If you check out this link, you can easily see what and when coverage is available including the language it is broadcast in. I know that the links don't work sometimes, but they do more often than not.

I think it would be great to have a sticky for the links to race feeds, especially during the holy season.

Keith, thank you for your response. I guess my post was premature in the sense that someone will have figured out by 5:30 a..m. (Pacific) which link actually work. i hope somebody posts to this thread a working link so that when I wake up at 6 a.m. (Pacific), I (and others) know what link is working.

I see Strada Bianche as Italy's answer to Paris Roubaix. Namely, an early season (possibly bad weather) ride over less than ideal road surface. It has some nice Tuscan scenery, and definitely has an italian flavor to it. it has some good racing too. I like it and want to see it succeed, and think it can.

That said, hard for me to call it a classic, yet. The Tour of Langkawi has been around longer.

UJA, I'll try to post a working link in this thread if I'm up. I was all excited about Omloop Het Nieusblad last weekend, and the feeds all sucked... so I'm going to bed tonight with pretty lose expectations.

The Sporza streaming was pretty rough last weekend, but I had good luck with the French feed. Bonus to that was the commentators excitement when Chavanel was off the front.

Whatever feed I was watching changed to some soccer pregame show with about 1.5km left. Was able to pull up the italian feed to see the finish, but annoying.

Hopefully they'll get the quality of the feeds sorted out soon.

Anyone know why the trees around there are so tall and skinny? I notice that both the coniferous and deciduous trees have the same shape. There must be some evolutionary reason related to the environment that leads to that shape.

Anyone have a link to a full or nearly full recording of the race?
