I have a friend coming to visit who weighs 220 lbs.He and I ride the same size frame. He is going to use one of my bikes for a ride next weekend. I weigh 165 and have a Swallow on the bike in question that is broken in perfect for my tender rear.

Here is the question.......If he rides an 85 mile ride on the swallow, will he re-shape it? Probably a dumb question. I can easily put a B17N on and he'll be happy, but if there is no problem, I'd like to let him try the swallow.

Any advice welcome.

I'd put the B17 N on it and play it safe , dude its a Swallow :)

I would never let anybody ride my brooks saddles that distance for fear of re-shaping these saddles. don't you have a plastic Terry on hand to put on your bike.
