I run a 28 with mine. Tried a 32 once but it didn't work.

SRAM says the new WiFli will accommodate an 11-32 cassette. I have not tried this myself, though.

Wifli (Apex and Rival) has always accomodated a 32. It now comes branded as Red and Force too. I run a 32 on my cross bike (Force/Rival) for trail riding no problem.

Short cage Red or the medium cage wifli Red?
The regular short Red der has oodles of clearance on a 28. I bet a 29 and possibly a 30 might work.... Maybe an IRD or Miche cassette?

I believe that SRAM says 28 tooth is the max for "standard" Red RD's.
As others have said, bigger with WiFli.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Headed to Ga next weekend for a training camp weekend. The six gap route has 11,200 ft of climbing. 39/25 sounded like noooo fun . Just put a 27 on and seems to work fine

doesn't sram do a 52 rear, 11 front for the cool crowd not in any hurry and wanting to show those slow twitch muscle fibers off in front of the cafes ?

Is your post not supposed to make any sense?

Yep. Have run a 28 but usually a 27.
Have run an Apex derailleur with Red shifters and it works great if you want to go to 32.
I run Red with a 53-39 front and a 11-28 cassette, works like a charm. For grins, I tried putting a 11-32 on there once and tune the RD for it, but it wouldn't work. I suspect a 30 tooth might work; Shimano makes a Tiagra-level 12-30 10 speed cassette.

This is not a criticism of the OP, but shouldn't Sram have this info on their website somewhere? I don't own their products, and have always found answers to these types of questions on the Campy website, for example.
