I appreciate all of the comments regarding the Concours vs. Legend comparison. I am 5'11' and weight right at 168 and OK 50+ years old. I went through the bike fit at my local Trek store and found out that my Trek 2300 was 5 cm off from my perfect fit.....Ouch. Anyway I am a Marathon runner trying to convert to a full time Cyclist. I have completed multiple MS150 rides but never rode all summer and winter long. Buying a $1500 Trek and now wanting a Serotta there is a bit of sticker shock (but this will not stop me). I do understand that purchasing any Serotta will be a major leap from any Trek I have owned. I love running up hills and have set a goal of doing the same on a bicycle. Again thanks for your assistance I look forward to being a proud Serotta owner in the near future.

i made the jump from a bad fitting trek to a concours earlier this year and couldn't be happier. ok a bit, but it's not the bike's fault.

5'8', 163, 51. I am completely happy with my Concours. It's possible that another bike would feel better/satisfy more ---- but I've tried a few good ones and haven't found anything worth it yet. Truly, not a week goes by but I consiously think how much I like my bike.
Get fit and go for it.

I'm 46yo, 5'8" and 155lbs and perfectly happy with my Concours. Unless you're one who psychologically has to have the "best" of everything, you'll be happy with yours, also.

for your specs a Concours would be great!!!! Bruce K has tried many bikes and I forgot he had a CONCOURS (among others).!!

His recommendation is MORE THAN ENOUGH of a recommendation - go for the Concours!!!

Trek vs. concourse? No brainer . . . Custom fit. Lifetime frame. Serotta cache. Hanging out with crazy Forumites. Sandy knocking at your door at 3am to welcome you to the Owner’s Club while wearing his leather-fringed pink tu-tu . . .

What more reason do you need?

Hey 809 - I am getting ready to post my Concours CS for sale. Judging from your height I don't know how your fit tech has you set up but my bike is a 58 stock geometry. If you have any interest PM me. Got to start gathering up funds for the upcoming Kirk.
