If someone knows of a reasonably-priced parts polisher, please let me know. I've got lots of older alloy parts that work fine, but need to be brought back to life.

Mods-if this should go in the classified section, please feel free to move it or let me know, thanks

I must have 10 or 20 older items that need renewing!

Most of the vintage parts polishers on this forum are the members - what vintage are you looking for?

You'll need one of these: http://www.harborfreight.com/6-inch-buffer-94393.html ,should suffice for your needs and a dremel for small hard to get at places.

A buffing wheel and buffing compounds can bring aluminum to life. But vigorous polishing can remove the original silver annodization which has a softer, matt finish as opposed to a high-shine, polished finish. A valued vintage part with the annodization removed is no longer a valued vintage part.

Gentle hand-polishing with Mothers or Semichrome might be best to clean the parts, shine them slightly, and retain the annodization.
