History

Cupertino bike (via Spence Wolfe)
Delivered new on 7/22/1971 to a gentleman in Boulder, CO
Colorado bike (dry climate) its entire life, so far as I know.
Resprayed in the 1980s (poor quality) and re-decaled with the post-1983 sans-serif Cinelli logos
I purchased it at a garage sale here in Denver in 2000

Notes

Brake hoods are dry -- a climate kind to metal is less so to rubber
Has a dent in the top tube about 1.5 cm long by one or two mm deep, from falling off the bike stand in 2001 and smacking a table edge

Save for the dent and the incorrect decals and paint, it is in very good to excellent condition, and would be a fantastic L'Eroica candidate as it is very nearly all the way there. It rode beautifully the last time I rode it (2006ish) -- stable, predictable and with uh... well... a sort of Stradivarian harmonic resonance.

Though I have long intended to do a light cosmetic restoration and to return it to its original livery, after 12+ years, still it hangs on my wall, inert.
And my aesthetic preferences run toward more modern bikes anyway.

So its time for it to go...

$2300, professionally packed and shipped in the lower 48.
Deduct $100 for local (Denver) pickup.
I am available during the NAHBS show, Feb 22-24.
Contact via PM.
