Can anyone provide some info about the Eddy Merckx Strada OS? JasonF posted a photo of a white-and-red beauty and got me curious... how does it compare to other steel-lugged Merckx's, say, the various Corsas?

B, I think the Strada OS was the model below the Corsa. Never ridden one , but if Jason's was bigger I would probably be adding a 3rd steel Merckx to my lineup..... :D

made of columbus brain tubing, replaced the columbus sl/sp strada in 1995...a solid bike...

not as direct or race-worthy (by 1995 standards) as a corsa, but a sweet ride...

Slightly off-topic, but what's the rationale behind the "Brain" name? Seems a bit inconsistent with most other tubing names. Was it the spirit of the time?

Anyone else have opinions on the ride quality? How does it compare to, say, a Serotta Atlanta (they're both same vintage I believe, late 90's). It's my size...
