I thought winning the polka dot jersey at the TDF would be considered a good season?!

Polka Dot for a day or two. Rasmussen the Dane actually won it.
But just getting it in the first couple of days is a great accomplishment, imho.

but I think it's almost an amusement for many of the pros early on in the race. some sprinter or rouleur will try to grab the climbing jersey early on in a stage race by taking by being first up some small bump in the road during the mainly flat first stages. that's when Voekler held it during the term. still, it's fun, since once they grab it they tend to want to keep hold of it for as long as they can.
