Took a ton of pictures this weekend; a few came out okay. You can see the whole set here:

Nice pictures. I watched the video feed, which couldn't have been as much fun as watching it live. Hopefully, we'll get to host another world championship in my lifetime, and I will be able to attend it.

Great shots.

You can see the frustration in Pauwels as the World Championship slides away while he struggles to re-chain his bike...

I had a lot of fun sitting on the couch all day drinking Belgian beers watching the live stream. Nice pics thanks for posting. This was when Mourrey was off the front getting some camera time :)

White bars. Very pro. Must be one use/disposable.

It seems like cross would be fun, except for the clean up. I suppose at the pro level, the riders don't have to worry about that. However, I don't have a support crew :(

Nice photos! I'll be going through mine once I finally get home tonight. Just ran into Niels Albert at the airport, he seems very tired.

Jeez, all these bats and nobody beat Pat McQuaid senseless? Talk about a missed opportunity...

Thanks - very jealous you got to go. I watched the elite women/men and U23 streaming, To see Vos ride away and Nys battle would have been just great. I have lined up for CX the past few years and that makes watching it even more impressive.

Thanks Dave! That means a lot coming from you--I've seen your work, and it's excellent.

I definitely make up for quality with quantity; just glad some of the 1000+ shots I took came out decently. Planning to get a few blown up on canvas for my shop.

Cheers,
JC

Great photos. The Rabobank girl with #3 was my favorite.

How the hell do you clean a bike after all that? Is a complete disassemble/reassemble?

Nice - it looked to me like there was plenty of pain in some of those pictures.

Thread drift:

Over the weekend I went to the annual St Louis Rowing Club indoor rower championships (as a spectator, not a participant), and boy was there some pain going on there. They do 2000m, which takes from 6:40 for the fast guys to 8:00+ for the slower divisions. As anyone who's rowed can tell you, that last 500m is a killer.

I'm in horrible shape, but was happy to see that in the Masters Men category I would not have finished last, but that was only because they combined all the age groups, so I would have been going against guys that looked like they were well over 60...

Disassemble, replace all bearings, reassemble.

It's funny that only one Euro (TEUNISSEN) knows how to properly hold a bat.
