The roads in my area are deteriorating and I am contemplating increasing the tire size on my Serotta Ottrott GS. Currently running 23's, but would like to know of any experiences with 25's or even 28's. Do these fit the Ottrott frame and fork?

700x25 tires are sure to fit. Be aware that Michelin 25 width tires are as round as most other brands 28's.

The 28mm tires get in there, but are a tight fit. Pay attention to how close the rear tire gets to the ft. der. clamp and under the brake calipers. I rubbed the finish off the underside of my rear caliper running the Mich. 25mm tires.

The issue is the F3 fork. I run 25 conti gator skins or gran prix. Any wider than that and I have issues. A 25 gatorskin is a pretty bomb proof tire.

I have used 25c Michelin PR3's on my Ottrott with F3 fork. They fit--just. That's the largest tire that will go on that bike. Currently running 25c Conti Grand Prix, which are definitely narrower. I like both.

I run 25mm gatorskins on HED Rims, as well with no problems.

My Continental GP 4000s 23s are worn and I think I will try a pair of 25s as replacement.
