You are a lucky man. I rode out of San Mateo for a week with a friend who grew up there and knows all the roads. Much of the riding there compares with the French Alps, different, but of equal beauty.

OOPS! You are right Presidio of SF. Was stationed at Ft Baker north end of the Golden Gate Bridge 1964 to 1966. Rode most of the roads bordering the Golden Gate Headlands. Great Place to ride with lots of days like that one.
There is a similar view from the Palace, which BTW is a great Museum.:cool:
