The night before garbage collection last week someone came by and stole all the wheeled toys our two sons owned off of our front yard. We live on a quiet dead end street and this stuff rarely happens, and it was not so close to the curb that anyone could have thought that we were tossing it...ahh well...live and learn.

Anyway, we lost my four-year old's 16" wheeled Specialized Hotrock (just bought it at Belmont Wheelworks Two a few months back) a junky 12" bike my two-year old was starting to play with, a balance bike, and a scooter.

I know there are a lot of folks with kids on here, some who live in Boston or close by, and as kids are always outgrowing stuff, I figured it was worth asking if anyone was looking to move their kids bikes, etc.

Before I go re-pay retail (that f**ing Specialized Hotrock cost over $200 retail!!), drop me a line either PM or email (zrmwork at gmail dot com) if you can help out.

Sincerely? the best bet is CL or some member that is close to you because sure even to send a balancing bike used will be close to 50% of a new one.

Any chance you bought that bike with an AmEx? They have a 90 replacement if the item gets stolen. My son's ipad cracked in the first week and they refunded the cost, no questions asked.

Oh I've been all over CL hoping to find my actual bikes, but also with an eye out to replace, but it is definitely the wrong time of year. Hardly any decent quality kids bikes for sale at all. (Specialized Hotrock, Cult CC16 BMX, even the Trek Jet would be OK, though it is a boat ancor). Most of the stuff can wait to be replaced until a good deal comes along or spring brings out all the used bikes, but my four-year old wants to ride anytime there isn't snow on the ground. I just don't want to spend another $230 on a new kids bike.

I can send a FedEx label by email and take care of shipping, so you don't have to be local.

Hmm, maybe, and I may be within 90 days, but likely more like 120. I'll have to check.

Bump. Some great offers, but I'd love to find something local.
