Trying to figure out the routing of the derailleur cables through Dura Ace 9000 Brifters. The brake cables are straight foreward, but cannot figure out where the derailleur cables rout through. Can anyone enlighten me? Jeff N.

Looks the same as the 7900 cable routing...

Peer thru that opening while you keep hitting the release lever. When it's all the way released you'll see a smidge of daylight thru to the other side.

Oh yeah. There's a white plastic cap on the other side where the cable emerges. You'll want to pull that off first. I assume this is to avoid the troubles people had with cabling the sram levers.

Got it. Thanks a million, guys! Got it through and good to go. Not really digging how both the brake and derailleur cables emerge on the same inside portion of the lever though. Hmmmm....how're you routing the housings on the handlebar? Jeff N.

This is 7900 with Yokazuna cables on 3T Ergosum bars. I run one cable in front of the bar and one behind, creating a flat top.

So what's the story w/ your aero bars pointing at the ground?

since they come out together, they just kinda naturally go one on top of the other as you make the turn on the handlebar. i believe the brake housing ended up on top then to the front at the bar tops.

You need to go to this page and download the dealers manuals since Shimano no longer puts intallation instr. in the packaging.

Just installed 9000 group and reading the manual is a must.
