I wonder how much of that revenue came from US sales? Sometimes I can't figure out how they can offer certain items at such low prices.

Either owned by a bike parts distributor in Europe of drive up to the factory with a suitcase full of Euros, name their price and what they want, load it up, go back home.

That's it? I thought w/ some of the margins I assume they're running on, that they'd be pushing a lot more volume to stay afloat. But maybe the items most visible to me are loss leaders to drive other higher margin items.

I wonder how this compares to ChainReaction and the like.

A few years ago I used ProBikeKit a lot. Great prices and great service.

The last year and one-half or two years they have just not been competitive for the things I buy.

Agreed. I was looking at prices during the holidays and they just weren't as low as they had been. They used to email coupon codes, like 15% off for US customers, etc., but not this past year.

The sale explains some things.

With their 10% -20% "sales", and the add-on 10% from their magazine "coupons" (+ free shipping), I usually get the best savings from them.

It's really hard to beat $36-38 each for Michel PR4's even when they are not on sale at PBK. I hate to not patronize my LBS but when I walk into local places and they have them priced $60-70 I can't ignore that.

IMO, most retail mergers rarely benefit the consumer, so we PBK users will have to see where this goes. When used carefully PBK can be frighteningly under US wholesale. I use them for my groups and consumibles (Shimano&Michelin), I might have to get an honest job soon!

Just got a dirt cheap crankset from Ribble. A centaur crank for $100, not bad.
