View Full Version : Fork ok?
Pulled the fork on my giant tonight and noticed the following (see the picture below).
Looks like some rubbing and a small divot. On the back of a tapered carbon steerer tube an inch up from the crown. Harmless or worth an expert opinion?
Thanks in advance.

I don't see the 'rubbing'. But the divot is a non-issue - a void in molding when made. I have similar defects on at least one of my forks.

But what about that linear crease half way between the crown and divot?

I'd guess the end of a ply.

same here...mfg process not a defect (the "crease" as well)
Thanks for the replies. The "crease" looks worse in the picture than in person - really no depth to it.
