First of all I'm off to pick up my brand new CIII today. My first Serotta, Christmas comes early! :banana:
I am thinking of starting a project bike to tinker with, I have never done that before and would like to pick the brain of some the experts out there. What is the best way to start (fixie?) what frame material should I use, how much can I do myself. I am an aircraft mechanic so I have mechanical skills. This will be a long term project I presume, is it worth the effort? Thanks

I guess it depends most on what you want the end result to be. That is something only you can decide, but once you have, there are a ton of opinions I KNOW we can give! :D

...go look at the pics on www.fixedgeargallery.com BTW. you might be there for a while. In my book, any fixe is a good fixe, but I really like the ones that have been recycled. The fixe currently being displayed in the custom gallery is spot on.
