When i was in the 5th and 6th grade, i i lived in new jersey. My father had grown up in Louisville, and went to school with PeeWee Reese So, i was a Dodger fan because of my dad. The folks there all respected Stan the Man. After moving to St. Louis at the end of 6th grade, still liked the Dodgers but also got to like the Cardinals. Stan was still great. Went to his bowling alley and got his autograph. He signed no problem. It was great. RIP.

Stan the Man - RIP
Into the Hall of Fame on first ballot - named to the All-Star team 24 times - one of the greatest hitters - 3,000+ hits, 475 home runs, 3 time MVP, won three World Series with St. Louie, and stayed with them his entire career.

Stan the Man.
A great player with perhaps the coolest nickname in all of sports.
Rest in Peace.
