Unbelievable! Caught $20 with my BB at 20mph (was Finding money while riding)

so here's a good one...just rolling along today with a friend when a piece of paper flies out of the back pocket of one of the riders ahead of us....I can see it in the air, it's money. we yell out, but they can't hear us since we're going 20mph or so.

the bill lands on my BB shell and then gets captured between my big chainring and chain. (see pic - left side of bill) I stop since this is so weird and I have no idea at the time if this will cause me a problem if I keep pedaling.

I reach down to extract, but of course to remove I have to turn my cranks backwards. It's $20. I'd like to give it back, but there is no way I am working my a$$ of in 40d to catch a guy who by now is way up the road.

so our double espresso(s) and snacks are now covered for the next three rides. go figure. got to be one of the oddest ways to find money while riding ever. Really, what are the odds a $20 lands on your BB at 20mph?

I find spare change on the roadside all the time, but that's a first! Way to catch it on your BB shell. That must have involved some pretty fancy riding.

I found a wallet and something like $300 one time on the lawn while we were riding. Seems the guy came out of In-N-Out drive through with his wallet on the passenger seat and the door opened up and it flew out. I am guessing he was too hammered to stop. I returned it (since there was a license, and my conscience wouldn't let me keep it with proper id) and he did give me $100.

To get this $20 bill cleaned of chain lube you will have to launder it. which is illegal in USA. best to throw away immediately. I will send you my address to give a direction to throw it in.
