OT: Help! reading an artists signature or looking up.

I am having a bit of a hard time with a painting I recently purchased. I bought it because it was cool and my daughter liked it, but not being able to discern the artists name is bugging the crappy out of me. Anyplace you fine folks can recommend or any good guess on the name? It doesn't matter for any real reason except that I want to know and it is stuck in my mind now.
