My niece has a vintage Raleigh Capri with 410 tubing, probably 1980s. The seat post is short and i want to get her another. I don't have calipers. Anyone know the post diameter spec? Thanks.

seatpost size database says 26.2

or take it to a bike shop, they usually have these tools to determine what size seatpost a frame takes:

I don't know the post specs, but strongly suggest buying an inexpensive digital caliper. Years ago, they used to be $100+ items, but you can find inexpensive imports nowadays in the $15-20 range that work just fine.

Honestly, one of the most useful tools I own, and not just for my cycling obsession.

BTW, in this case, it is much better to measure the OD of the post that fits, rather than trying to take an ID of the seat tube.
