I feel our relationship has reached a pivotal juncture; he never calls or shows up at my door wearing a silly dress, scaring the kids. What do you think?

What do you think?

That I'm glad that I'm new around here, and have no idea of what you speak.

Think of the children and the (un)stable life that they have grown accustomed to. :p

it seems only reasonable that he would first seek opinions one or more times on this forum before taking any of those actions. I think you may be jumping the gun here a bit. I think that you should take a wait, and wait, and wait... attitude. See you later.

Dump him. He does not have a K name.

Makes me wish I was new here.

You know what's strange? I've met Kevan and Sandy, but not at the same place at the same time...what's up with that?

You mean you guys missed the naked blackmail pictures of Sandy? Wow...

I sorta wish I was new here too...

Kevan...maybe you've been spending too much time with your wife or bike. Maybe that's why Sandy isn't so sweet on you anymore: Maybe he thinks you just don't care for him anymore...

So sad, all the great relationships are crumbling...Brad and Jennifer, Kevan and Sandy...so sad.

What would Romeo be without Juliet? (OK, so he would be alive, but bear with me . . . )

What would George be without Gracie?

Mork without Mindy? Nothing!

Rocky without Bullwinkle? (Always DID wonder about those two . . . )

You guys can work this out! Don’t give up! Kevan, have you ever considered that it might be that day-glo Serotta monstrosity you have acquired? God knows if I rode a bike as ugly as that I would never get a date!

Oops. Wait a sec . . .I never DO get a date . . . . . . . . Oh, Queen Bee I am SO sorry! Forgive me!

Try to see it my way
Do I have to keep on pedaling till I can't go on?
While you see it your way
Run the risk of knowing that our chain lube may soon be gone
We can work it out!
We can work it out!
Think of what you're riding
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's all right
Think of what I'm saying
We can work it out and get it straight or say good night
We can work it out
We can work it out
This ride is very short and there's no time
for fussing and fighting, my friend
I have always thought that it's a crime
So I will ask you once again
Try to see it my way
Only time will tell of I am right or I am wrong
While you see it your
There's a certainty our Calfee’s might fall apart before too long
We can work it out!
We can work it out!
Life is very short and there's no time
for fussing and fighting, my friend
I have always thought that it's a crime
So I will ask you once again
Think of what you're saying
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's all right
Think of what I'm saying
We can work it out and get it straight or say good night
We can work it out!
We can work it out!

Has anyone noticed that Sandy has not asked Kevan to reconsider? Maybe this is a mutual split.

Kevan was just confused, per normal. He started the thread on Halloween. He thought it was April Fools Day. It was all a joke.

Nothing has changed. Kevan still emails 4 times a day, calls me on his cell phone twice a day, and sends me roses each and ever day. :)

He is sending me a Porsche Carrera GT with its 5.7 L V-10 605 HP engine engine, to replace my aging 1997 BMW M3. He thinks that it is a reasonable gesture on his part. Sort of an apology for even considering that something might not be absolutely perfect between Dandy Sandy and Kinky Kevan. :)

Everything is just fine.

Waiting for my Porsche,

Kevan also is sending me 10 MeiVicis. That surely is love, isn't it? :)

Maybe I should send Kevan some flowers myself. Wonder what I’d have to do for a Porsche Carrera GT with a 5.7 L V-10 605 HP engine? . . .

NAAAAH! . . . . .

I think that you would have to build one yourself. :)

whatever...

My intention was to have some fun with this, including a poll, but for number of faults, which I don't think were all mine, I was unable to get this thing properly launched. So rather than try for a third time here were the polling options I was trying to offer you:

So the question remains, should Kevan and Sandy call it quits?

Yes, why was this on a cycling forum in the first place? It’s bad enough that we all are dressed in spandex as we read this.

No, are you guys just joshing or is this something really serious?

Yes, break up but do let us know the outcome of the divorce.

No, keep it going we just love a happy ending.

Is there room for more to join in?

To those of you new to this forum and didn't even know about this sordid relationship, boy, do I wish I were you.

Oh, and as far as the new car goes... nobody but nobody is getting a new car until I get one and that looks like it won't be happening until my kid's college tuitions are finished. I'm a very poor man for the next 8 years.

Maybe that's the problem Kevan...it's all about you.

you'll both need to dress up in the same costume
that i wore last night while strolling around the neighborhood
in search of a year supply of snickers
with my daughter and boston terrier (clipped in to a stroller)...
sunflower revolution t-shirt, and sunflower petal headdress...
about one in ten in our town could tell
that i was masquerading as a peddler!
the two of you should do the same
and all will be well...
...now, for a poem of encouragement...
no rhymes for the likes of you in this spat!

CANOPY
(He raises us to what He is)

A brilliant canopy of color

drifts aloft brushed by waves of wind.

Stirring leaves and broad bending branches

release captive birds to free flight.

Our soul's song and most intimate dreams

burst forth in the same graceful way.

We are each one bright and beautiful:

free to explore, cleaved from the world,

painting the heavenly canopy

with the pigment of God's glory.
