Vashon Island is a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle and one of my favorite places to ride. The roads are great, there's plenty of elevation (the Passport to Pain ride climbs 10,000 in 75 miles), the traffic is light & yields to bikes.

The road back to the ferry terminal finishes with a 40+ mph twisty descent to the ferry dock. What a rush!! Let me know if you'd like to join me for a ride there someday
