What chain tools you guys using? I exploded the casting on my Park Tool CT-5 trying to push a pin out of my 1/8" chain. Granted it was a "mini-tool", not a shop quality tool, but still I'm a little peeved since I only used it half a dozen times.

I'll give Park a call in the morning to see if they'll replace it, but I should probably find something else to use at home for sizing new chains.

After breaking quite a few chain tools (granted probably due more to my hamfistedness than the tool necessarily being crap), I stumped up for a Park CT 7, and it's been great. Changed plenty of chains with it.

The the best chain tool I've used is the Campagnolo 10spd one.

I keep a cheap nashbar chain tool around for the rare occurance break a non campagnolo 10 chain. The quality isn't great, but its hard to beat a full size chain tool for $10.

I don't have one (wish I did), but I was dumbfounded one day at my LBS when someone brought out a Rolf chain tool that looked like a pair of bolt cutters.

Position the tool, squeeze both levers together and the pin pops out. Looked a lot easier and more fun to use than the traditional handle-wind type. No clue if still made, limited production, etc.

Is my memory dim and I got Rolf mixed up with Rohloff? Is your Rohloff tool the same bolt-cutter design I mentioned? Makes more sense...a hub company designing a chain tool rather than a rim/wheel company.

Park makes one of those as well.

I like the Park CT-4.2.

On sale here (http://www.modernbike.com/itemgroup.asp?igpk=2126178526&TID=367&gclid=CIvE6o3H1bQCFUOK4AodSwcAQw)! But you need an additional peener for Campy 11.
