Still early in the game, but AP's doing it again.

The octagonal cage has been constructed in the front yard for the smackdown between my Madison, WI wife and Minneapolis neighbor. I don't care quite as much, have a beer riding on the game (Go Pack...)

I have this strange feeling that this is the game where Christian Ponder loses his job. So far this Webb guy is looking good, a little too good for us in Wisconsin!

I'm trying to remember the last time there was a back in the league that defenses just couldn't tackle. I mean, everyone knows AP is getting the ball. And it's not like Ponder scares anyone. But still, nobody can stop AP.

Barry Sanders?

Still, for my money, the greatest back ever.

No problems. You can't lose to a guy name Joe Webb!

Terrell Davis had a couple seasons when nobody could tackle him. But Elway was a real threat. So yeah, Sanders is probably right. Going further back, there were years when Payton was playing with Bob Avellini (or whichever other stiff the Bears ran out there) that were comparable to this. Regardless, it's amazing.

Payton was amazing give the fact there was, well, no one around him.

At his peak, Earl Campbell was unstoppable too. Course, Earl is crippled now...

While we are on the topic of RB's... The ESPN 30 for 30 on Bo Jackson reminded me just how much we missed out on by not seeing his career fully mature. What an athlete!!! Tough on bats when he struck out though. The over the head and over the knee snaps are impressive.

But I agree here... Barry Sanders was SPECIAL. Childhood Thanksgivings are full of Barry memories.
