I did!

Went into the LBS for a bolt and left with a Japanese Bianchi from their rafters. Got home to late to clean it, take pics or even identify what it is (no stickers )

I'm more than half way there. There is a new group in a box, new wheels built by oldpotatoe and a deposit down on a bunch of aluminium tubes from MA. ETA, the end of January.

I've got some new Chorus 11 awaiting the repairs on my steel frame that was dinged up in my crash last year.

And I still need to send my form back to Roland for a frame order from him...

I really don't want/need any more bikes...like Zmudshark, I have too dang many as is.

I do have a couple of projects I'd like to do in the new year...building a few frames up...selling some stuff that's been laying around...changing my Team Merckx over to Dura Ace from Campy Record (I rarely ride it, so I might as well make it "correct").

One thing I'm considering is selling the Team 753 Merckx and getting an MXL...building it up with the parts I take off of the Team.

Now if only I could find a reasonably priced Campy compatible disc wheelset....

Sent Dave Kirk a deposit a few months ago so I expect that one to arrive sometime in 2014.

I wanted a cross type bike for exploring. Found this on Craigslist last week.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/17843554/DSC_0008.JPG

I only have a couple of rides on it (one 25ish mile road ride with a different wheels/tires, and about 10 miles on dirt road as it sits), but I really like the ride, especially the feel of the steel fork. (maybe enough to think about replacing the O2 on my Serotta  )

Started building my Gios I got back from the powder coater last night in the living room, in front of my wife. It was hard to explain to her that I've had it for years, and I'm using all parts I've had stored in a bin for the past 4 years. She didn't buy it, but it's true, it's true...

Not one, but two.

Thought I had a line on a 2012 Salsa Fargo ti.

Probably not happening, so the fallback is a Fargo 2 for the cabin near the BWCA.

I also slid a down payment on a 2013 El Mariachi 2.

Will be doing trails near the Twin Cities and going out to Moab with friends in June.

Tons of gravel this year as well.

not a bike, but i just blew a ton on a Nikon D7000 body. it's going to take me a while to learn the thing, and a lot of syrah to get through the owner's manual, but it handles and focuses like a dream.

hitting trails and toronto roads on knobbies for the next bit - finished up a schwinn mesa disc from the good ol' days and can't wait to hammer myself on it in the snow/commute. mountain bikes are fun.

Picked up a really nice coupled Zanc from Malcolm here on the forum several months ago. I've had it repainted as I didn't like the color and it's been sitting in the box. I have the build kit already to go with Record 10's full grouppo and Mavic OP with record hubs and skewers.

I just need to get off my ass and get it to the shop for final construction. Now with the cold weather, I'm frankly not too motivated so it may wait until late February so it'll be ready to roll when daylight savings time hits in early March.

Took a used early-80s SLX Serotta to Elliot Bay Bikes today and had them 130 the rear and chase the fork threads, so now it's ready for powder coat. Think I'm going to build it with a lot of age-appropriate Suntour Superbe, except for more up-to-date wheels and a compact crank.

Maybe by the time it's done I will have learned how to post photos here? Or maybe not... it's been twelve, fourteen billion years and I haven't learned yet...

Bob

With a 140 stem, a bit more steerer tube and a set back seatpost, the numbers appear to work ( at least on paper)... If they don't, it will go back on the chopping back (here). I'm sure I won't have a problem selling it.

Always experimenting with different fit options. This is an experiment, deviating a bit from my usual...super hard to find these bikes in larger sizes on the second hand market.

Fess up is right. I just pulled the trigger on Floxy's Blue AC1. Feel a little sheepish after all that talk about whether an aero road bike is worth it, but for the price I feel like I'm doing OK, and it's still light enough to satisfy my inner weight weenie, as it's lighter than the Guru it is replacing. I am thinking that it should build up with a SRAM Red and DA7850 wheels at around 15.5 lbs.

Wish me luck.
