Anyone using the new Time RXS cleat with the old Impact pedals? They will work according to Time, and I wonder with the 2.5mm of lateral movement allowed by the rxs cleat ( compared to 5mm by the impact cleat) combined with the limiting of lateral float to 2.5mm on the impact pedals - ie removing 2.5mm of allowed lateral float - would result in no lateral float.

I am going to give it a go and try it but was just curious about others' experiences.

And how does the float feel in the impacts compared to the original cleat made of the harder plastic.

Cheers and thanks for the feedback.

I am using the above-referenced setup. To me, it is completely transparent. I noticed no difference in using the Impact pedals when I installed the new cleats. Congratulations to Time for seting up an upgrade chain!

That's awesome news. More manufacturers should take this attitude. I love my Impacts and am looking forward to the RXS as well.
