bicyclist hit & run

Seattle, this morning at 2 am in downtown Seattle. sounds like he got hit by a drunk who then took off (hit and run). the vehicle was ID'd and they have arrested the perp. The biker is in the hospital for a "head injury and possible broken bones". I would have though it the other way around personally, i.e. possible head injury and broken bones but I didn't write the story.

Also I have to say, riding a bike at 2 am in Downtown Seattle (2nd ave & James st) on Christmas eve???? If there's ever a good time to ride on the sidewalk this is it. That is not a part of town that I would want to be in at night either.

You know, I hate to say it but if you are driving drunk, it's almost a good idea to leave the scene of an accident as you will be less likely to get a DWI out of it. I wonder if that plays into the equation.... I hope they can get him for a DWI also, they should arrest everyone who was in the car IMO
