A 2012 season wrap-up. Lots of great shots, but the one of Maxim Iglinski really spells PAIN.

Cycling Tips has work from some great photographers. Graham Watson has some serious competition these days (actually TBH, I think his competition has passed him)

Thanks for posting, fantastic pics. Wish they were higher resolution so I could use 'em for a desktop wall paper.

This Stelvio pic is epic.

I'm not sure how much, if any, Photo-Shoppping was done, but the background in this image looks really artificial and computer-generated to me.

I've never ridden in Europe, so I'm just going to assume it has totally awesome backgrounds all the time...

But seriously, I had the same reaction to this picture. The green is a bit TOO vivid... I'm sure there's a ton of post processing on most of the images we see these days. Hopefully they stay true to the tenants of photo-journalism and focus on presenting the story and facts through pictures without too much editorializing.

The green is natural. The light green trees are mélèze, I think larch in English. They turn to rust in the fall and loose the needles over winter, and when they grow back in the spring they are a very tender green.

Nice pics, however they were achieved. Filters?

. . . on all the color photos has been jacked up. When you do that it's a very fine line between making them look nicer and going into cartoon territory.
