back when I lived in Belgium as a younger guy I used to ride out on the Schelde bike path alot...these old guys would pull up beside me, chat abit, almost always on some gorgeous Merckx steel... tell me off hand they were doing a 80 k ride for the day and it was the only way to get away from the wife since they had retired and do this 4 days a week ect and of course have some beers along the way...like 5 or 8 of em...then haul off away from me and move off up ahead...tough mofos...great stuff...
