On one hand I am really impressed by the depth of information on this site. The breakdowns by manufacturer, model, year etc... There is a wealth of knowledge packaged in a really well executed website.

On the other hand - I have the same reaction I do to the Kelly Blue Book for car values - that market price is what the market will pay. They say they pull their values from thousands of transactions - but are the monitoring the PMs of the Classifieds here ;)

Just like my BMW 3 Series from 91 - sometimes its the sum of the parts that make up the value, not the complete package. Just like a bike with fully equipped C-Record.

I'll give you $50 for it. deal?

Atleast we'll have somewhere to point people when they ask "I'm thinking of posting somthing in the classified section, how much is xyz worth?"

None of the bikes I have are in the list of models :) that means that I have two extremely rare bicycles then? :D

Nice idea, but pretty much useless.

It might give an insurance adjuster some reference points. Whether they are accurate is a good question.

yeah, that is a scary thought. Make sure to get replacement value insurance coverage.
