So the ice finally melted enough to get out on the new Black Mountain Cycles Monstercross... the temp on my phone said 27* with a "real feel" of 4*, it was a bit chilly... ;)
Anyway, still have a few tweaks to work out but the bike rides great!

yes, those are the Rock and Roads! I just had a short run today on pavement as the trails are still a bit iced over... felt great on pavement!

Glad to see the change in location isn't keeping you off the bike.
It wasn't that cold here, just 20 degrees cooler than it was for Friday's ride. I got out for an hour or so on kind of bleak day to test out the shifter setup I cobbled together last night.

Nice looking setup! The cold isn't what's bothering me, it's the ice on the road... Tons of black ice up here...

I don't mean to hijack, but the front shifter is a 6 speed era Syncro that I bought as a bare lever and the rear is an 8 speed Record that was about 60%.
I was almost caught out by an unexpected ice patch last week. Ice s*cks, you can be as careful as it's possible to be and you're still going down. I'd like to try some homemade studded tires at some point. I wonder if you could do the sheet metal screw routine with a tubeless/sealant wheel.
