View Full Version : ScotchBrite on Shoes?

I bought a pair of the yellow Mavic Fury MTB shoes for cross recently. Despite knowing they would lose their luster, I find myself a bit saddened after every muddy race when they never come clean all the way. Does anyone have good experience with ScotchBrite or some other stain preventer/lifter in cleaning light colored shoes? I typically just scrub them with Dr. Bronners Sal Suds and Pedros degeaser diluted in water, same as on my bikes. A little Goof Off will remove grease spots unless it has gotten down in the mesh and threading.

Thanks for the tips.

I've used oxy-clean on a rag to make white sidis shine after they get grey-brown.

if you use scotch brite pads, make sure to use the no-scuff ones.

Sorry, by Scotch-Brite I of course meant Scotch-Guard.

Oxy-Clean sounds like a good idea though, I will give that go. Thanks.
