Thinking about cycling stuff that's come and gone that I wish we still had available, maybe stuff that never was but should be, maybe what is and what should never be () Here's a sort of wish list...
Campy Record silver hubs.
Record group in all silver/alloy.
No more increase in rear sprockets...11 is the limit!
Serotta to bring back the CSi.
Serotta to start making Ti stems and seatposts.
Level top tubes are the norm.
Pump Pegs and chain hangers on EVERY BIKE.
Open Pro rims available in a variety of colors.
1" forks are easily available.
Campy to STOP putting the red 11, etc. on Record/SR Components. Jeff N.
I'll think of more. How about y'all?

A standard set of data published on production frames to reduce all the marketing BS. As a consumer I would like facts not weasel words

ONE BB standard

Except it probably would end up being a completely new one, and not backwards compatible with any previous standards

My needs are simple. I want someone to design a way for my fendered bikes to be carried on my roof rack. (Fenders get in the way.)

How about switching to a receiver hitch and rack system? Those racks support the bike at the TT (at least mine does) so fenders would not be an issue. Added bonus: the garage entrance won't wipe out the bikes.

I'd have to get a custom made hitch first. No hitch made for my car. I'd be a few hundred in the hole. Might as well get a non-fork-mounted rack system though I'd hate to scratch up my bike paint.

Just use mounts with no tray like the Yakima Boa. What rack do you have?

+1 on a single bottom bracket standard. I wouldn't mind it being square taper.

+1 on 10 speed and no more. Eleven is too many. If you need more, admit it and go triple on the front.

3D printing by Campy to work in Ti, Alu, and carbon. Campy components then become so cheap it drives all others from the market. (hey, I can dream can't I?)

Finally, realtime, laser scanning for perfect fit dimensions. I mean if it works for Jenna Jameson, why not for bikers in skin tight lycra?

Really finally, and maybe truly attainable. Determine if 650B is really an advantage vs 700C and make more mainstream bikes in that size if it is.
