I'm thinking about lighting during the day (dawn and dusk, dull days, mist, fog, light and shadow, et.c.), and I see that Dinotte has amber front lights. Does anyone on here have experience of using Dinotte lights and the amber series in particular?

I don't have one, instead I run a white light on blink during the day.

However, a coworker/riding buddy of mine does have one. He bought it after being hit by a car on his way to work (no serious injury). His first ride in after the crash, he said he saw a car about to make the same move that gotten him hit before, but stop after the driver saw him. He credits the flashing amber light for the second driver seeing him when the first didn't. Not a scientific study by any means, but, extra visibility never hurts.

I'd say that 400 lumens of amber during the day is more than you need, but it doesn't look like you can get any less from DiNotte.

For lower lumen ratings, they actually have the AA version still available. Wish it was still compatible with their proprietary battery pack--looks like it would go well with the 300R.
