anyone know if campy and/or shimano changed their cable pull ratios and if the jtek adapters still work with their 11sp setups?

Email from Ryan Guthrie on Nov. 23 indicated he's working on it. There will be a Shiftmate for Shimano 11.

Well if the 11 wheel uses a new freehub body and taking in consideration that the shimano 11 hubs are tiny wider who knows what is going to be the plan of action for the zillions of wheels moving around to be able to take 11. Anybody knows more details?

Do you mean not able to take 11?

Mavic takes 11 no problem on most their stuff.

Honestly, the upgrade in shift performance from 7700 to 7800 was REALLY good. Then 7800 to 7900 was really good as well (in my opinion, I like them crisp). 7900 to 9000...sounds like they softened everything up again... Not interested.

I'll happily ride 7900 for another 10 years, or go SRAM. *gasp*

I like them crispThere's an Italian company that makes bike components. You might be interested in trying their products. ;)

You said it... most if its stuff... no all of their stuff, most... most like a half of the 2011 models on? or most like back 6 years ago up to the present?

Dunno, shimano IMO screwed up changing the freehub body a couple of mm because that will make wheels with no freehub body updates useless but creates an aftermarket parts "market" to fix the problem. Maybe the issue is fixable just putting a longer neck lockring? But i havent heard crap about it either.

That 1 mm is just a problem imo.

OK... i got a jtek#2... paired to a 10 speed cassette and chorus 11 brifters and the thing shift superbly, thought was going to be so so but the unit worked so well that I'm speechless, the shifting is just silence as it should be.

The units are kind'a expensive IMO, but the pictures in the web site doesnt make any justice. In the website looks like a ****ty problem solvers unit made of sheet metal but the units actually are anodized and made of a whole piece of aluminum, the pulley aswell... really well finished stuff.. in one word, just "beautiful". Worth the money.

Hope this helps because i thought this thing was not going to work and worked just perfect. Just remember cut the rd housing because doesnt need to be large nomore.

So on any of the Mavic wheels I've owned (oldest was 2003), there is a pretty thick 2 or 3mm spacer that's necessary to run a Shimano 9 or 10-speed (in conjunction with the 10-speed spacer that comes w/ all Shimano cassettes). I'm not sure if there's another thinner spacer needed to run the 11-speed, but no new freehubs, redishing or anything is necessary.

If you have a Mavic wheelset, with the standard FH body, with the 2mm spacer, remove and put 11s shimano cogset on...
