top tube stickering

[Needs Help]

Hi,

I was wondering why the stickering on my top tube is on my right(as I'm riding). Is that so anyone on the sidewalk can see what bike I have? What about the riders I'm passing that are riding in the opposite direction: don't they deserve to know what bike I'm riding?

Is it traditional because of counter-clockwise criterium racing with all the photogs on the outside of the course, thereby flashing them the stickering?

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think it has to do with the "drive" side of the bike.
