Very good write up and competitively priced. I think this is the type info people want to read when they are looking for a bike. Features and quality that distinguish it. Nice job and a nice bike.

i was surprised about the 6 sizes but the biggest size would fit me fine. I always wonder what percentage of people a small range of sizes like this can fit.

"A Serotta titanium frame, handcrafted in our U.S. facility, is straighter and more precise than any frame of any material you can buy."
Really? For a company that eschews 'marketingspeak' for 'real, measurable performance,' I don't see how they prove this one.

what type of tire clearance? No mention of fondo-able tires. Not that options are mentioned, is ARO option available or standard?
very nice and the 50cm could fit me. very close to the custom Ti i had built. now just get a couple of publications to review it. cool

Seem's like a good deal to me, and looks like the parts kit mark up is below retail.

Bravo!
Priced below a comparably equipped Vamoots w/Moots or Edge fork, from most online shops.
Hope Serotta sells a ton of 'em and gets things on more solid footing for the future. Maybe get that bike entered in Gran Fondo NY as a grand prize next year (if they hold the ride again). That would be sweet.
Good luck Saratoga guys!

I propose a third offering in this lineup.
Serotta, you make an S3 fork with eyelets. How about another one of these, with that fork, a CS of about 42.5, and mid-reach brakes?
Call it the Rando. Otherwise, keep the geometry about the same.
You could argue that it was dumb not to build the Fondo as such. That was my initial reaction. But I'm trying to be positive.

Sort of agree. Seems like there is a growing market for 'rando' type bikes...the return of the sport-tourer of the 70's.
However, I think this bike is great and priced well. Hope Serotta sells a lot!

ya, a relatively inexpensive titanium serotta with fenders would be super.

Looks very nice. A good competitor to the Seven Axiom.

I noticed that the headtube on the big one is just about the same length as a bigger Roubaix when you add a standard rather than integrated headset. I vote for a bit more headtube in order for more of us to build it with fewer spacers. Those who want to slam can always do so. Or just make a seamless ti headtube extender an easy to add option.

all have full build kits.
adrenaline is cheaper by far, something odd perhaps going on there.
Which Moots 'onlineshop'??
Any pictures to see what a frame with the extended head tube looks like?

Think about it.... This is a pretty fast new model concept to introduction period, as I see it. Good for Serotta, may it meet a fine response out there!

Where do the tubes come from?
Presumably imported, since it's not advertised like the Legend is (U.S.-sourced)?

Somebody at Serotta might want to check the Fondo frame geometry chart. Reach and stack appear to be transposed...

They indeed are; I noticed that earlier today as well.

good catch, I would be interested in knowing the origin as well. As someone mentioned earlier I would love to see the Fondo offered with the all roads option. There is a titanium, all roads style bike in my future and this would compete against Salsa Warbird at the low end or a Hampsten Strada Bianca at the higher end. Given the choice I would love to add another Serotta to the garage.

so if my normal bike is a 56TT with a 110stem, 73.,5HTA and 73.0STA, HT somwhere in the 14.0-15.0 range, then does that put me on the 57 with a 100 and a negative stem or the 54.5 and a 130?
chapeau to serotta for getting this bike to market but I am not sure that I would fit it.

I wouldn't order anything from any shop owned by Jim Lacy. People would be well advised to steer clear of him.

More SB, less Warbird. Much, much, less. The titanium one costs $3900, BTW.

I'm closing this one up. We've talked to the Serotta folks, and we welcome a new thread in the Showcase section of the forum. This is the perfect place for Serotta, and all the excellent builders we have here to "showcase" their work. Thanks all.
