I read the TrainerRoad.com thread recently and have decided to give it a try. I have a Kurt Kinetic but needed the Ant stick and a speed/cadence sensor.
If you go to DC Rainmaker and use the Clever Training link on the right hand side of the page, you can get a 10% discount. The Garmin Ant+ Stick is on sale for $24.99 plus the addl 10% discount and even though I have a Garmin 305 and could use their speed/cadence sensor, I elected for the Wahoo model that has a wire connecting the cadence and speed sensors to better accomodate the S-bend chain stays on my Serotta Legend. It appears that it will also synch with the Garmin but will have to verify that. Get to $75 after discounts and currently can get free ground shipping which is fine with me since I am not in a hurry.
