Curt recently painted my formerly green Weigle. He just finished up and I think it came out great. If you go to his Flickr site you will see that he has become quite the painter.

I'm considering de-randonneuring this frame and simply building it back up as a relaxed road bike with good clearances.

Thought you had sold this green bike; is this the one build earlier this year or is this another Weigle you had already?

Great looking bike. I liked the green too though.

Why de-rando?

By it's very definition it IS a relaxed road bike in that mode!

I caught a glimpse of that on Curt's flickr stream a few days back. She's a beauty and you're right. Curt lays down some nice paint.

Beautiful Weigle frameset!

The used Goodrich I picked up two years ago had paint issues from the get go.

The bicycle hadn't been maintained and I couldn't decide on a color.

I noticed a white frameset on Curt's Flickr that had subtle red windows recently, which is an identical scheme to my older Kvale.

Sometimes it just takes me too long to make up my mind.

This seals the deal for me on Curt painting mine though.

Thanks for the pics.

According to Curt "t's a very fine metallic silver with a few drops of a green pearl base coat"

Yes I sold that green bike (loved the color as well). This was an older Weigle that was also green.

Got this back today and I am stunned with the quality and color of the paint job. I will be building it back up this weekend if all goes as planned.

One more shout out to Curt for how he went beyond the call of duty on this repaint, first he put frame and fork on his alignment table (one of the perks to having a builder do the painting), then he worked with Peter to get the decals which were old school solvent slide and not friendly at all to work with, but he figured it out and then treated the finished product with framesaver.

Great experience.

One more shout out to Curt <cut>

Yes - CPG is a treasure, a gem atmo. He has a depth of craft and manufacturing skills.
