Glad to see that bike found a loving home, looks pretty sweet with all the silver DA too!

Now just hurry and heal so you can ride more! ;)

Cheers,
Dave

No kidding!

I took the 25th anv set out of the box for this build!
It just looks so right with all the shinny and polished stuff on it!

And boy-o-boy does it ride good!

SLICK. Although the black spacers are kind of an eyesore IMO. You should definitely do chromed.

Maybe so, but it rides SO GOOD, I'm not going to change a thing!

I know spacers won't change a thing, except for me being off it, but still!

A couple of gorgeous rigs there, JR. How do the Sachs and the Ellis compare?

Ellis all the way and it's not close.

I thought it was just the wheels and tires, so I put the DT wheels and tires on the Sachs. DT makes this pretty easy!

NOPE!!! Still the Ellis by a mile. Not saying something is wrong with the Sachs, it's ok, and rides out fine. Just not nearly as nice as the Ellis.

As far as build goes, they are about the same. Both perfect in every way.
And they were both made for SamIam, who is almost a perfect fit for me.

One more thing, Dave wages has helped me with this frame. In fact I was going to buy another Ellis that Dave talked me out of. He thought it would fit, but I wouldn't be happy with it; and he had it for sale. This speaks to me about Dave and the kind of person he is.

Thanks to all who helped me along with these 2 bikes. With a big shout out to Dave Wages, and SamIam!

Ellis "team" paint with polish (or chrome) is perfect. Great bike.

Stunning bike! All it needs is a custom Winter stem! This bike deserves way better than a Ritchey.

Disclaimer: don't know Eric (yet) but will after the Denver NAHBS :hello:

Not a chance. if a custom stem is in the works, BTW, good idea!

I will call Dave Wages and have him build it and Sanchez paint it!

But it is a GREAT idea!

Thanks, I was wondering if it was just me. Nothing against the Sachs or any of my other bikes, but this frame always seemed special, especially out of the saddle climbing.

Boy, that's a nice bike. A fully chromed fork, nothing more seductive than the smooth liquid-like flow of thick chrome, like solid mercury.

I don't use language like this, so I will crib from any 20 year old: OMG! OMG! Someone who owns a Sachs and doesn't fall into instant adoration of it's brand and effortlessly ride on water at 49.431 km. Heads are exploding, the universe is collapsing, apocalypse now.

Best of health with this. Silver components, man, that makes us brothers.
