This one was just relisted after not selling. I talked myself out of needing it, but I'm puzzled why it hasn't sold given the favorable comments on the Podrad here on the forum.

The pricing seems good. Is there something about the bike that's a red flag? Maybe so many parts being replaced? Reportedly the rear wheel was defective from new and replaced under warranty.

I didn't bother to take the time to see what auction #1 had it listed for, but 899 is a good price. It'll sell this time. Disc bikes often fetch a premium, though personally I'd prefer a canti bike.

Although Poprads are well thought of on this forum, I don't think the general public knows that much about them, and the racers are usually looking for the lightest stiffest cheapest bike they can find. I have an 06 canti and I really like it.

Is that a Wound Up fork rebranded for Bontrager?

I bought a Poprad new for not all that much more than that - maybe $1000-$1100 IIRC. It was a canti-model, before they had disks, but that still seems a bit high for a five year old steel production bike...

Recently have seen a number of Poprads racing in events on the Boulder XC track. I owned a 2001 Poprad 52cm that was too small but, it was a great riding bike. Sold to a riding buddy and he thinks it is one of his best riding bikes ever...for both road and XC. Good steel will last.
The bike up for auction appears to have 105 components and that is a big plus...just as good and the top end groups and very durable. If you want an XC bike that is about as good as it gets.
I keep looking for a 55cm 2001 or 2002 Poprad Reynolds 853 tubeset but, the new ones with larger dia steel tubeset are great bikes.
