The engineer in me demanded that I buy one when I was penniless in grad school. Supremely cool style, but scary to ride. I hated mine (old and beaten) and sold it after two rides.

Cool retro ride! The fuse is the fiberglass plate at the seat tube-top tube connection. The purist's rant about the traction and the cornering is pretty cool.
In engineering speak, the plate take a lot of torsion and bending in the corner...

Brings back fond memories for sure!

Loved my 26" folder. Climbed like Ed Viesturs. Comfortable and great climbing bike. Made in Michigan.
