The seller seems confident that these are the correct mearurements. Could this be possible? All the Fierte's that I have ever seen with a 56.5 TT have a 19ish HT and am not aware of any custom Fierte's. Can anybody help?

Ask him for the serial number. According to the 2007 Serotta catalog a Fierte with a 21.5 headtube should be a size 60. http://web.archive.org/web/20070524231546/http://www.serotta.com/pages/geometry.html#fierteStock

Dave -- I guess great minds do think alike. We posted the same link at exactly the same time :)

Thanks guys. Responded to seller after receiving Keith A's response and also asked for serial number as I thought it indicated stock size so thanks Dave T for verifying that as I was not certain that I had that correct.

Looks like it probably is a 60 cm though the serial number should confirm it one way or another.

@ dekindy; FWIW I own pretty much exactly the same bike. MIne is an IT with HT 21.5 and the serial on mine confirms is a 60. ( Ebay seller also listed it as a 57 cm)

Also FWIW, I am a hair over 6' with proportioned limbs ( no apelike or all leggy) and took it yesterday for a 20ish mile ride and it fits like a glove.

The seller measurements are pretty much consistent with mine and with the chart ( just went and double checked ) HT 21.5 ,Horizontal TT 58 ,ST 54

Vav and all, I was just noticing that it appears this model has the ST pivot point at the seat stay/chain stay junction.

What is the Columbus Tusk carbon fork?

My Fierte is a 56 from this type- the carbon seat stay and Ti triangle. It has the stpivot. Mine came with an Apha q fork, but I found an S3 which is a happier match. These bikes are a great ride!

You know Serotta claimed these stock geometries were chosen based upon their experience fitting people to bikes. Some have complained they are too plush or oriented toward dentists. Basically higher head tube and shorter than usual top tube for any given size. I must say, I got one based upon the needed top tube length, and while it isn't the only reason it rides well, fit just seemed wonderful and fell into to place. I am a very average proportioned person, actually almost completely average in all the normal parameters. Makes me think they know a bit about fit other folks don't. Or to some extent, the overly race oriented fit isn't right for most people. (maybe Grant Peterson is onto something rather than on something)
