On a Chorus whim

I won some 2006 pristine Chorus shifters to replace my 2011 Centaur shifters on ebay. Now that I have gone the way of impulse, did I win shifters that allow me to dump my high gears? They say 10 speed and Chorus on the levers, is this actually an upgrade over the escape Centaur (besides the fact that I do think that the older style of levers are more comfy)? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you did. I don't believe Chorus or Record ever went away from that.

And you should sell me those old junky Centaur shifters... I'll even meet you in person somewhere :)

Centaur new shape was produced in ultra-shift for 1 year or two, really hard to find.

Yes, Chorus all years have always been that way...not so for Centaur(2007/8 and 2011+) but yes for Chorus.

Same for Veloce(10s) and Athena(11s)..2009(not so clicky), 2010, clickier-Esacpe-esque in 2011 for Athena on down.

I have a NIB 2010 Veloce shifters, BTW-they are for sale!! Black.

Okay, good to know. Had a hard enough time figuring out when they were from since they weren't Ultra or Micro etc. Thanks for the info all.
