Check out the "Sidi" badge on the Time Equipe shoes worn by LeMond's teammate. Who is that?

laughter erupted out loud with that one. solid!

(and the irony is he's probably in the high 140's or maybe even 150's, and was likely still faster than 100% of the entire u.s. domestic & int'l peloton and much of the euro crowd.)

Surprised GL's not wearing his Oakleys.

Speaking of Lemond and PDM, check this out, from the deep recesses of the internet:

...and, sounding a bit ahead of his time back in 2001:
“If Armstrong’s clean, it’s the greatest comeback. And if he’s not, then it’s the greatest fraud.”
“In the light of Lance’s relationship with Ferrari, I just don’t want to comment on this year’s Tour. This is not sour grapes. I’m disappointed in Lance, that’s all it is.”

I worked on the Sidi-Mengoni team during the 1982 Coors Classic. First order of business was to put "Sidi" labels on every rider's personal shoes, which were whatever brand they preferred.
